They are also more comfy, with adjustable right and left nose pieces. The real question do they simulate a 51in screen? Yes, but with two provisos.

The boost in resolution, lightness and general quality of the mini-LCD screens means a rather more immersive experience. Watching Up felt sort of like gazing at a theatre screen thru binoculars till I shut the curtains. With no light creeping in round the sides of the frame, the visible illusion was complete and hey presto, what seemed like a 51in screen seen from about ten feet came into view. In the box you get an iPod AV connector cable and composite AV wire for hooking up to Televisions , DVDs or consoles. Vuzix claims the glasses are also 3D prepared. The Vuzix Wrap 280 will divide opinion ; fiddly and uncomfortable for some ; world-leading for others. I’d strongly recommend that you try before you purchase.
